In the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy, over 65,000 teddy bears were donated as symbols of grief and remembrance. What was once an emblem of childhood innocence has, over the past decade, taken on a more somber meaning—its presence at countless school shooting memorials now tied as much to loss as to comfort.

These early design concepts for the box reimagine that symbol. Created as an educational resource and shared with content creators, they aim to spark conversation about the difficult realities today’s children face, while also offering hopeful, practical strategies to help protect and preserve what every child deserves: a safe and joyful childhood.
